How to convince an English colleague that his country has the worst cooking possible ?

You know, British food is better than you may think. For a start, we all know that Gordon Ramsay's crap, but American stuff is crap too (not saying you're American, just giving an example.) The British have lots of amazing food, like toad in a hole, cakes, pie, shepard's pie, sunday roast. I.m not saying we're the best, but we're certainly not the worst.
