The way of the gun?

It would seem gun crime is on the rise< it is becoming almost a trend for youngsters thinking that it is cool to be strapped with a gun and use it indescriminately against each other, youngsters most who are not related to gangs have had there lives snatched away in the blink of an eye....how many bitter tears do the mother's have to cry for their son's this is something i feel strongly about i work with youths, i have children of my own and it is a worrying fact that this world is so filled with gun crime, what the hell is the government doing?...i feel more needs to be done, because whatever they are doing now is not working..... let me hear your views on this subject?
