Advice needed, marriage at breaking point!?

I am a phd student who has been married for 3 years now. My husband is a courier driver and he earns around 400 pounds a week, all which seems to go pretty quickly. Before you start thinking he's having an affair, I have control over his accounts and know exactly where his money is going. He has an overdraft limit of 1500 which he is constantly going over and getting fined for. I am upset because its me who has to take care of the finances in the home, he does nothing!! Everytime I confront him he gets angry and tells me to check his account "my money went on mobile bills, car insurance etc etc" and starts shouting at me. He wants me to spend my money on him and everyone (my friends), if I dont then I am called stingy!! What shall I do? why is he like this
