Should the mothers and children of that polygamist mormon sect in Texas really have been separated?
I understand it's "standard" in abuse cases to separate parents and children while abuse is being investigated...but isn't this a little different? This is all these women knew, drilled and brainwashed from birth. I think it's cruel to take away their children, cruel to both child and adult. Not only is separation from the parent already traumatic for a child, but these are children who have never even seen a TV, heard a radio or been in a city! I just think how I would feel if strangers came and took my child and didn't even let me see him under the explanation that it was "better for him." Also, I'm sure these mothers worry that their religious beliefs are being violated by caregivers not careing for the children in proper ways. I understnad abuse can't hide behind religion. But imagine you are a devout vegan and raise your child and such and some person comes and shoves meat down your kids throat. I just wanted to hear some opinions from people not on the news.
