Stomach infection? or something else?

i now have had on and off lower right side pain and in the stomach with lower back pain for about a month and a 1/2 now. The pain got so bad in my lower right side i went to the er thinking it was my appendix. They ran a blood test and ct scan with a contrast in my blood. The doctor came back and said it wasnt my appendix but there was some inflamation in the lower right of my stomach that wasnt anything to worry about. She sent me home with an antibiotic called cipro and some pain meds. About 3 weeks later the pain came back severly and i went back to a different er they did the same thing everything came back normal again but the doctor said that where my large intestin meets my small intestine is inflammed and is causeing the pain. I am trying to get some health insurance to got get a colonoscopy and see if it will help me more.The dotor sent me home with cipro and metronidazol i hope it helps it. Oh and it seemd like at night my temp flucuates between 98.6 to 99.8 and my bowel movement look like a sand like texture. Any advice?
