Why is the unemployment rate in Germany lower than USA?
I think you forget the dynamics of US philosophy vs a country like Germany. Here, money rules. If doing something for the greater good means a rich guy with a lobby on the Hill will pay more taxes on 1 of his 3 mansions and the summer home he doesn't need, 'Let them eat cake, just don't take my bread.'. In Germany and other countries, policies are laid in place that tax those that live in luxury so the poor may be provided for. Health care goes to the ones that got the most clout over here. Pharmacutical companies get patents and keep prices as high as possible. Hospitals charge 7.50 for one asprin. All those guys are rich and deny the poor quality of care. As far as jobs are concerned, the rich would also rather pay an illegal slave wages under the table before paying the unemployed an adequate wage, SStaxes, and Medical benefits. DIGGIT? Talk to the rich. They're the ones that own the Hill. We're just the ones that can't pay our bills.
